Early Childhood Childrens Forest Project

Our Kindergarten children have recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Children's Forest project which has been a truly magical experience for us all. The Children's Forest is a movement to support children and their communities to reconnect with nature and plant forests for the future generations, run by a dedicated team of people with a shared passion to restore healthy relationships with nature and one another, for the future of all species.
The children of our Kindergarten groups, guided by members of the Children's Forest team, alongside their Kindergarten teachers, lovingly planted trees, added mycelium-rich topsoil, and discovered how trees communicate beneath the earth. Our hearts were so full as we watched them sing to their trees and whisper heartfelt wishes onto birch bark before tucking it gently into the soil. We even discovered a beautiful nest; a quiet reminder of the life already held within the forest and the many creatures it shelters. Each child became a guardian of an animal they hoped would return and it felt so special to imagine them visiting their trees again in the years to come.
Our deep thanks and gratitude to Erica and all the Children's Forest team for facilitating such a rich and meaningful experience for our children.
