Ways to Support Michael Hall School
Michael Hall has always been more than just a school, it's a community and for many of us, a place that shaped who we are.
Over 100 years ago, the school began in South London as "The New School". After the Second World War it moved to Kidbrooke Park, where it took on the name "Michael Hall". Over the decades, the school has evolved and grown with the support of teachers, parents and the wider community, while keeping its core values — providing a rich and balanced education and a lifelong love of learning — and there is nothing we want more than to continue offering this to children today.
Like other independent schools, running Michael Hall has never been more challenging. Rising costs across the board - upkeep of our beloved estate, energy, dedicated teachers and staff, resources, and the recent introduction of VAT on independent school fees, mean that every pound counts more than ever. The families here today give what they can, but the gap between fees and the true cost of sustaining the school continues to grow.
If you feel moved to give back, we'd welcome your support. You can make a one-off donation or set up a regular monthly contribution - whichever feels right for you. And if you're a UK taxpayer, please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box when you donate; it costs you nothing extra but adds 25p to every pound you give, making your gift go even further.
Every contribution, however large or small, will go directly towards keeping Michael Hall the special place it has always been, for the children whose lives it is shaping right now.
