Classes 8 Projects

This year's Class 8 projects were extremely high-quality and all who saw them and the presentations were very impressed. Congratulations both Classes 8!

The Class 8 Independent Project enables students to follow their passion and explore an interest or career aspiration in depth whilst developing the ability to self-direct and coordinate their own learning. The Independent Project draws on formal, non-formal and informal learning and any area of the taught curriculum. It has been specifically designed around the class 8 projects in Waldorf schools, as a way to formally recognise the quality and depth of work that our pupils put into their projects. As of this year, projects are now recognised with a CFI Level 2 Integrative Education Award (a GSCE equivalent qualification).

We were delighted to visit Michael Hall School and see firsthand the incredible work students have produced as part of their Level 2 Integrative Education Awards.

The effort, creativity, and commitment they’ve shown throughout their projects was evident in every presentation - and it was great for us to have a chance to look through their bookwork afterwards and see the results of their efforts. It was a real pleasure to speak with both the students and their parents about the experience, and to hear how much they valued having a practical, personalised and engaging way for students to develop their skills.

Congratulations to all the students on their fantastic projects - you should all be very proud!
