Classes 5 had a Day trip to Wakehurst place last week as part of their Botany Main Lesson. They were blessed with a beautiful day, and the gardens were full of blooms. The walled garden was in full glory as were the wildflower meadows. The classes did pollinator surveys and saw the solitary bee banks and hotels. They enjoyed the flower structure workshop in their school laboratory. At lunchtime, the classes were able to picnic together, and they enjoyed the open spaces to play games in the sunshine.
