Class 8RG play Little Women

Last week, class 8RG performed the play Little Women by Louisa Alcott, . The script was based on a play performed in the 1930's. They suggested the play last May and chose their own parts. It was the first time that they were able to perform exactly the part they wanted (it has never happened before!)

We had two different casts and Jo was played by 4 of the girls over 2 days. It gave the class a chance to discuss relationships, consent, family values, loss, love and friendships whilst learning a little about life 130 years ago. They rose to the challenge and demands of the play, not only acting but taking on advertising, building the set, prompting, stage managing and organising props. One student created the girls hairstyles as part of her class 8 project.

A magnificent achievement!
