Advent Spiral

On the second Advent Sunday, children from classes 1 and 2 came together to share with us a beautiful play, singing while walking the spiral made of freshly cut foliage.
As each child walked into the middle of the spiral to collect the flame of light, it was then placed around the ever green spiral, slowly little candle lights glowed softly lighting up the theatre.
It is a time of preparation and a reminder that as the world speeds up, this is a moment to slow down, to appreciate how from one small light, a vast sea of small lights can fill the room but also our hearts and souls in anticipation for what is to come in the middle of winter, the midnight hour.
Advent blessings.
