Peter Egner (class of 1959) remembers his time at Michael Hall

Peter attended Michael Hall School for a year in the 1950's and still remembers his time here very fondly and shares some photos. The compliment slip is signed by the English teacher at the time, Mr Hugh Hetherington. Click to read Peter's message:
Dear Michael Hall Team,
At the age of just 15, I left my home country of Austria to attend Michael Hall School from 1955 to 1956.
Even though 70 years have passed since I returned to Austria, my memories of that unforgettable time have never faded.
Michael Hall meant so much more to me than just a school. It was a place that shaped who I am and has stayed with me throughout my life.
Now at the age of 86, my eyes still light up when I tell my daughter about my days at Michael Hall.
It was a truly special chapter, one that I will always carry in my heart and would never have wanted to miss.
A few years ago, my daughter even took me back to England to revisit the places that hold so many precious memories for me.
I was so happy to discover the Old Scholar network after all these decades and would be so delighted to hear from you. I’ve also attached my old school photograph and a document from my time at Michael Hall, which I thought you might enjoy seeing!
With gratitude,
Peter
