Class 8 Project Featured in BBC Documentary
Olivia, now in Class 9, completed a fascinating Class 8 project last year centred on a sled dog academy. We are thrilled to learn that the academy is being featured in a BBC documentary airing on Monday 13 July at 7.00pm on BBC One Wales, and Olivia's involvement with the academy and her project is expected to be included in the programme.
Olivia invested a tremendous amount of time, enthusiasm and dedication into her project, and it is wonderful to see both her efforts and the academy receiving wider recognition. Her passion for the subject shone through every stage of the project and made a lasting impression on everyone who saw her presentation.
Many in our school community may remember that Olivia's mentor, Joe, travelled an incredible six hours from Wales to attend her project presentation at Michael Hall. His commitment reflected the strong relationship that developed through the project and the value of the work Olivia undertook.
This exciting opportunity highlights the unique experiences and connections that students can develop through their project work. It is a wonderful example of how pursuing a personal interest can lead to meaningful real-world experiences and unexpected opportunities.
