Class 8 Ball
Last Friday, silver birch branches and flowers from the walled garden filled the Long Room with their fragrance. Combined with the glimmer of fairy lights, it created a magical atmosphere to hold Classes 8MR and 8EF for their Ball.
This is one of the events to mark the end of an eight-year journey with their class teacher for many students and the transition into Upper School for all.
Elegantly dressed, students walked down the Mansion’s staircase presented by their teachers and gracefully danced the waltz, tango, cha cha and polka. Parents were also able to join them as we were fortunate enough to have received a few lessons too.
The ball was followed by an energetic Ceilidh dance on the South Lawn which was accompanied by Forest Row’s very own Ceilidh band.
The evening concluded with the students throwing their wishes for the future into the fire.
We wish them all the best in the last four years of their journey at Michael Hall.
