Ted Roberts Exhibition — Thank you to the Three Musketeers

Ted Roberts was an art teacher at Michael Hall from 1965 to 2008, and both his children, Susanna and Ollie, are Old Scholars.
Ted and his wife Irmin used to host an annual exhibition at the school, and it became quite the social event. After they both passed away in 2020, Susanna and Ollie began thinking about how to honour their memory.
In 2022, the family showed a couple of Ted's paintings at the Midsummer Fair, timed to coincide with a delayed memorial service — postponed due to Covid. The response was so warm and enthusiastic that it sparked the idea of reviving the exhibitions properly.
Susanna and Ollie are joined in the venture by Susanna's husband Richard - who, despite having no Waldorf background of his own, has more than absorbed the spirit of it through his connection to the family. Together, the three of them make it happen, with invaluable help from Don Collishaw, who lends the screens without which hanging the paintings simply wouldn't be possible.
A significant percentage of the proceeds from each exhibition goes directly to the school - a wonderfully generous contribution that makes a real difference.
A big thank you from everyone at Michael Hall - we look forward to the next exhibition!
