Class 12 Reflections Main Lesson

Last week, as part of Class 12's Reflections Main Lesson, the Class 12 pupils had the opportunity to spend some time in the place where the journey begins, in Early Childhood. The students joined the children of Saplings and Kindergarten for part of their morning, creating a beautiful moment of connection between the youngest and the oldest members of our school.
It was an opportunity for Class 12 students to immerse themselves once more in the kingdom of childhood, to explore through their senses, share moments of awe and wonder, enjoy and participate in weekly tasks such as baking and feel the peace, purpose and joy in morning ring time and the creation of leaf boats, sandcastles and fairy houses. Through sharing and reflecting together we considered the importance of play, sensory impressions and the thought and intention that lies behind the preparation of our Early Childhood spaces and the experiences we wish to create for the young children in our care. For the staff and children in Early Childhood this visit was incredibly special and powerful, a full circle moment and an opportunity for little ones to see where their journey might one day take them. For some pupils in Class 12, this was a reconnection to spaces and people who once held their small hands through the doors of their first experiences of Michael Hall. It was a real pleasure to have them visit and we feel incredibly proud of all the wonderful young adults in Class 12.
