Class 5EN's Trip to the British Museum
A few weeks ago, Class 5EN visited the British Museum in London. The children particularly enjoyed the Ancient Mesopotamian section where they found the 'Royal Game of Ur' which they had drawn and played in class and the original 'Flood Stone', a clay tablet which they had learnt about in their recent Mesopotamian class play.
The children spent time in this area, observing and sketching these precious artefacts. They were also excited to find the Greek Parthenon sculpture of two horses and riders, of which there is an identical replica in the Lower School Building.
