Class 11 Main Lesson: From Renaissance to Modern History

Our Class 11 students have brought history to life by building models of iconic structures—from St Peter’s Basilica to the Chrysler Building and Taipei 101. These projects showcase creativity, craft skills, and a hands-on way to explore architecture across the ages.

Marco Piotti
History Teacher

The Chrysler building (New York, US)
Being over 300 metres tall, it was the tallest building at its completion in the early XX century.

The Taipei 101 (Taipei, Taiwan)
A skyscraper over 500 metres high; the tallest building in the world in the early XXI century; today, the XI tallest building in the world.

Students also used their own 3-D printer for some of the features of this model. In one corner of the building they attached a human figure, representing Alex Honnold, who recently  climbed the building (25/01/26).

St Peter's Basilica (Rome, Vatican City).
The students embarked in a very ambitious representation of the centre of the Christian Catholic faith. Completed in the late XVI century, its 136 metre-high dome is still the tallest ever built.
