Friday Flyer - 2nd May 2025

Dear Michael Hall Community,

What a week this is turning out to be, with the heralding of Spring and Summer all at once in one a glorious sunny week!

Thankfully no plan B was needed for this year’s May Pole celebrations where classes 1-5 danced their beautiful dances. The colourful satin ribbons fluttered and twirled in the breeze while the musicians played us a happy tune and the flower-clad children skipped merrily around the May Pole. A symbol of new life with renewed growth, as anyone growing flowers and vegetable can attest to. The May King and Queen too represent fertility and abundance at this time.

To new life and growth, perhaps this can be a moment to reflect on how lucky we are to have such a wonderful community and grounds to celebrate so much of life’s richness. Growth outside in nature and inwardly as the seeds of winter come to fruition.

Wishing you all a lovely long weekend

Date change!

We had feedback regarding our Gala date; that due to it falling on the bank holiday weekend into the half term,  many families will not be in the area.

As a result, we have postponed the event to the 7th June, in order to accommodate as many people as possible.

Join us for a dazzling evening as we celebrate 100 years of Michael Hall School! This exclusive centenary gala promises a night of unforgettable entertainment, music, and dancing in the spirit of the roaring 1920s. Step into a world of glamour at our Speakeasy Cocktail Bar, enjoy exquisite gourmet cuisine, and be part of a fundraising auction with exciting opportunities to support our beloved school.

Come, celebrate, and support Michael Hall School’s bright future! Click poster to book your tickets.

Dear Alumni and Old Scholars,

Spring brings new beginnings and a sense of renewal, just like the spirit of Easter - a time for connection, reflection and growth. We recognise that this is a precious time that is best spent with family and friends and will therefore hold our next Alumni Tea & Talk morning session with Ingrid, on Saturday 17th May 2025.

Join us for a delightful morning of conversation over tea as we reflect on the past, reconnect, reminisce, share ideas, hear your suggestions and celebrate our shared history.

Thank you to all who joined us in the past! We can't wait to welcome you back for another relaxing morning tea and chat!  RSVP: [email protected]
