The summer may not have been too kind to us, weather-wise, over the past few weeks, but the sun has certainly shone on us as we welcomed the children back into the rhythms of school life this week. We have welcomed 97 new students to our community so far this term, and the applications are still arriving daily. The school is feeling vibrant, energised and ready for what looks to be an exciting year ahead.
I will write more next week but, for now, I extend a warm welcome to you all - children, parents, carers, colleagues, trustees and friends of Michael Hall. May the sun continue to shine on you all this weekend.
Student Council News:
The student council raises money for the school and local charities. This year we have supported the East Sussex Wildlife Rescue Ambulance - a charity that rescues and cares for injured wild animals.
Around the school we have spent money on a net to complete the outside table tennis court, a set of overhead microphones for the theatre that will pick up and boost voices from the stage, and we have bought books for the Library to tell more diverse stories of interest to teenagers and young adults.
