7th June 2024

Dear Michael Hall Community,

What a week it has been! As the School returns from the half term break, the students and staff have come back with energy and enthusiasm. In the approach to the end of the academic year, we enter into one of our busiest half terms, it is so nice to have the good weather on our side to keep us moving forward.

We are incredibly excited for the Midsummer Festival this year, as it is also the beginning of our Centenary celebrations. Michael Hall School marks its 100 years in January 2025 and we wanted to honour the event with a full 12 months worth of rejoicing, starting with this Midsummer and ending at next years Festival.

Our centenary is a celebration of the rich history and honours the legacy of Michael Hall School; but also looks towards the next 100 years; honouring our past, celebrating our present and embracing our future. Without revealing all now, we have events and plans that will be unveiled on our website from Midsummer. We can’t wait to share this experience with you all and hope you can participate in as much as possible and support us to keep going for another 100 years.  We welcome and encourage community support and engagement. If you would like to be part of any Centenary organisation, please email me directly [email protected] .

Just like our Centenary is a time for reverence; this time of the year is an opportunity to celebrate the end of one year; reflect on our achievements and look towards the future. This term is full of wonderful events that help to tie up the year and celebrate the summer months. I’m particularly looking forward to Class 9 & 11’s musical performance of Mary Poppins JR!

Wishing you a restful and sunshine filled weekend,

Tatiana Sowter

Head of Operations
