Dear Michael Hall Community,
Our term has started positively this week, with a wonderful Easter assembly provided by our Class 6 groups, Ms Romeo, Mr Dyer and Helena from Class 10. Helena's solo performance of Pie Jesu was particularly uplifting, reminding us of the purity of sound and spirit at this time of year when we see the birth of spring and life around us. A special thank you to Kate Smith for accompanying Helena's recital.
Class 8B gave their presentations to a full theatre auditorium on Wednesday evening, and shared the details of their projects afterwards with family and friends, then with their school peers on Thursday morning. What an extraordinary moment this is in their educational journey. I think it is fair to say that fatigue has taken hold today, but they are undeniably proud of their achievements, as many and varied as they were in their projects, and have shown significant maturity in their reflective review of the process this morning. A huge congratulations to the students, staff and parents who have all worked so hard to bring these projects to fruition.
And finally, I am delighted to say that our sink hole has now been repaired, following a full assessment over the Easter break, which indicated that the damage to the Middle School building and the surrounding area was not as bad as initially feared. Thank goodness we can now move forward with our exciting summer term and all it brings us: examinations, excursions, enrichment and endings. I look forward to sharing many of these special events with you all over the weeks ahead.
My warmest wishes to you all,
Sarah Stokes
Principal
