26th January 2024
Dear Michael Hall Community,
What a week! Storms to blow away the cobwebs, new spring shoots appearing signalling the arrival of Spring on the horizon. If you look carefully you might find the first snowdrops pushing their white heads above ground to gladden our hearts as the ice and frost of January are slowly departing for another year.
Open Morning this week for the Lower and Middle school was extremely well attended, with a total of hundred and twelve visitors and lots of enthusiasm for our wonderful school – Michael Hall. It is such a pleasure to meet new families finding their way to Waldorf Education and each Open Morning I see the school and education with fresh eyes as questions reignite what we strive for in a Steiner school.
Beauty, Goodness and Truth stand strong as three pillars of our daily practice working with Head, Heart and Hands.
In addition to all this there have been the 8a project presentations. The evening gave us insights into an amazing number of new skills learnt, displayed and talked about. A threshold not to be underestimated with an enormous sense of achievement once completed. I am always in awe at the dedication, self-reflection and hard work that students put into their projects. It was an inspiring evening. Thank you class 8a, your families and Mr Harkness their Class Teacher.
