Admissions Registrar (February 2019)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Admissions Registrar to join this thriving Waldorf Steiner School, set in the heart of the ancient woodland of the Ashdown Forest. With nearly 500 pupils ranging from 3-18, we are seeking an Admissions Registrar who will be responsible for all aspects of the pupil recruitment and admissions process across the school. The ideal candidate will have first rate customer skills, IT skills and be able to maintain a high level of efficiency in a busy working environment.

Class Teacher (Immediate)

We are looking for an inspiring, talented Steiner-Waldorf teacher to join our Lower School faculty. Candidates need to be qualified Steiner Waldorf teachers, who promote the principles of Steiner education in all aspects of their teaching. The Class Teacher is responsible for holding the class and will be expected to teach the Main Lesson curriculum. The ideal candidate will be a committed, creative and resourceful, Steiner Waldorf trained teacher with the ability to relate to and inspire children. Steiner Waldorf training is a pre-requisite and experience is a valuable extra.

SENCo/Pastoral Care Manager (April 2019)

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) or Pastoral Care Manager to join our SEN/Pastoral Team here at Michael Hall.  This role will suit a candidate with experience of working in both mainstream and Steiner education, who has experience supporting pupils aged 14+ and developing functional strategies for the School in all areas of Pastoral Care. The ideal candidate for this role will be have demonstrable experience in leading Pastoral Care or SEN teams, leading the development of staff and working closely with behavioural management and safeguarding team. Upper School Faculty Chair (September 2019)

We are seeking an experienced Faculty Chair person to join and lead the Upper School here at Michael Hall. The candidate should have a broad knowledge of the Waldorf curriculum and understanding of wider contexts of Steiner Waldorf School. Candidates must have had a least 5 years’ experience teaching in a Waldorf Upper School setting/or similar. Previous experience in a management role is essential. General Maintenance Worker and School Cleaner (full-time)

We are seeking a general maintenance assistant to join our facilities team, looking after our School grounds and buildings. The role would suit a candidate with general decorating experience and experience of cleaning. The role will include split duties across grounds, building maintenance and cleaning.

ICT Teacher  (immediate, part-time)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging teacher of ICT for immediate start. The successful candidate will work alongside both Middle and Upper School teachers to deliver ICT to Classes 8 and at GCSE level. We are looking for someone who is willing to embrace the Steiner Waldorf curriculum and bring it alongside the teaching of ICT. Candidates should have the knowledge and ability to inspire students and have a secure knowledge of the iGCSE curriculum.

Bus Driver (Tunbridge Wells route, part-time)
