Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration is a documentary born from a deep commitment to ecological healing and community resilience. Directed by filmmaker and activist Isabel Rosa, the film follows a group of young changemakers confronting the climate crisis and discovering hope through regenerative water practices.

The Crucible is Arthur Miller's classic dramatization of the witch-hunt trials that besieged the community of Salem in 1692. In this small, tight-knit Puritan village, gossip and rumour spread like wildfire, inflaming personal grievances until no one is safe from accusation and vengeance.. and violence. In the face of such fervour how can John Proctor, a local farmer, hope to protect his family and his dignity?

We hope you can join us for the performances on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th, Friday 28th February and Saturday 1st March at 7pm, Michael Hall Theatre.

This year’s event will feature live music and performances, with harp and piano, student buskers showcasing their talents around the grounds, and plenty of singing. Enjoy restorative hot drinks, homemade cakes, waffles, mince pies, and savory delights like pizza, hot soup, and the BBQ, with gluten-free and vegan options available.

Activities abound for every age. Kids and adults can wander through the enchanting gnome home, or join in the beloved candle-dipping experience (tickets available in advance for earlier slots). The jungle gym awaits those with extra energy, and a captivating puppet show from Elfin Grove will entrance the little ones. Don’t miss the pocket money stall, where children can buy small gifts, or dive into gingerbread decorating and crafting wooden decorations. A professional photographer will also be onsite for family photos.

For unique Christmas gifts, explore our handmade crafts, including candles, limited edition Uwe Jacquet lanterns, Christmas wreaths, weaving items, woodwork, and beautifully crafted traditional Waldorf decorations by Kindergarten parents. Browse through a selection of pre-loved Waldorf books and toys, perfect for Christmas giving.

To honour this special milestone, join us for a traditional Gaelic Ceilidh dance from 6-8pm in the Mansion Hall’s Long Room, featuring live music (donation £5+; teachers and children enter free).

With so much to see and do, stop by the information point upon arrival to gather details on activities, purchase raffle tickets, and pre-buy food or event tickets. Candle-dipping begins at 11 am, with our opening ceremony at 11:15 am and the Eurythmy Performance at 4:30 pm (tickets at Michael Hall). Parking is £3; walking is encouraged, and please bring cash as card readers are limited. Candle Dipping Tickets
Candle dipping tickets will be on sale on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th Nov at reception between 8-8.30am, cash and card accepted. Tickets are limited to 4 per transaction. All under 10s must be accompanied by an adult.

In this tale, a young boy is taken from his mother and faces a series of extraordinary events, including being hidden and swallowed by various animals, ultimately leading to his escape from a king's palace with the help of a loyal horse named Katar. After years of living in disguise as a servant, the boy captures the attention of a princess, who chooses to marry him despite societal pressures. When he reveals his true identity as a prince, he gains respect and exposes the deceit of his brothers-in-law.

This year we have a very special guest, the illustrator and live art performer James Mayhew. On Sunday November 3rd he will paint, for all to see, whilst the Festival Chamber Orchestra plays a beautiful piece by Ravel.

A unique event, don't miss!

As a special treat, James will also give a workshop on Saturday afternoon( November 2nd) where he will guide us in painting to the musical stories of the Firebird and Sheherezade. Anyone can join - experienced artist or not - just come and be inspired! Places are limited so book soon to avoid disappointment.

Happy Me Dance is a dance and wellness company founded in 2019 by Michelle Clark and is based in the South East. Michelle has a wealth of experience in both education and dance having taught in a number of leading independent and vocational school settings. She is passionate about transformative dance and has recently graduated as a Movement in Practice facilitator having studied with Dr Peter Lovatt, author of The Dance Cure. 

Happy Me Dance offer dance classes for everyone of all ages and abilities and their children’s dance programmes in Sussex and Kent develop creativity, self confidence and opportunity with a strong focus on the connection between body, mind and spirit. 

HMD are delighted to be hosting their first 4 day Inspire Summer School here Tuesday 27th August- Tuesday 30th August at Michael Hall Steiner School and look forward to welcoming members of the Michael Steiner School community to take part.

This festival is one of the highlights of the year at Michael Hall and is an opportunity for families, friends and old scholars to come together with the whole school community. 

During the festival, the site will be open for the public to walk around and explore. You will be able to see the Lower School pageant, join in with side shows, browse exhibitions of students' schoolwork as well as enjoy strawberries and cream, teas, and music on the Mansion Terrace. 

In the evening there will be the opportunity to see the Midsummer Musical, Mary Poppins, performed by Classes 9 & 11. You can book tickets for the musical here.

Ask the friendly policeman where to find Cherry Tree Lane and come visit the Banks family who are in need of a Mary Poppins to bring some Practically Perfect order to their lives. On the way pop in at the Talking Shop for some Supercali-whatever-she-says, Feed the Birds by St Paul's Cathedral and maybe Fly a Kite with Bert. Just magic. And all put together with a Spoonful of ...something sweet.

Enter the pages of P.L. Travers inimitable book and immerse yourself in a set inspired by the captivating drawings of Mary Shepard. Anything Can Happen, but Step in Time, there's not a moment to lose - scan that code!

We will have 40 tickets available on the door for cash (pounds, shillings and pence only, please) half-an-hour before the curtain rises, but do note the different starting times of the 2 shows.

The play follows Tess and her fellow first years over one tumultuous academic year as they face hurdles they didn't anticipate: the distractions of love, the cruelty of the class divide, and the strength of the opposition, who will do anything to stop them in their fight for the right to graduate.

Friday 26^th January, 7pm.

Hosted by Class 8a, there will be popcorn, snacks, and drinks available, which you can bring into the theatre with you!  You can pay for these by card or cash.

Class 8a will be playing live music and singing as you enter.

We are showing the film "Prince Caspian", the second of the Narnia films.  It's a beautifully shot and scored film, and captures the story extremely well.  The rating is PG, but this event is only for Classes 6 and up.

Tickets are only £5, so we hope the whole family can come along.  The tickets can be purchased online here or by scanning the QR code below. There are also tickets available at reception using cash or card.  If there are any left, cash and card payments on the door are also available.

If you know the stories, then Prince Caspian will be familiar, but if not, then it might be worth watching the first film instalment "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" beforehand, although the book is obviously far superior.

We hope it's a lively and fun event, and a chance to get together on a cold winter's evening.  See you there.
