Gala Fundraising Dinner & Auction

Restoration!

Saturday 24 March 2012

19:30 Kidbrooke Mansion

Join us for an evening of fine dining, musical accompaniment and the thrill of a live auction at our annual Gala Fundraising Dinner & Auction.

We have chosen Restoration as this year’s theme as a double celebration: the eighteenth century Restoration period in English architecture gave birth to such gems as the Mansion and Clockhouse; restoration also reflects the work of the past year and the challenge of the coming years to restore the Clockhouse and create desperately needed teaching space.

Enjoy your Canapé Reception in the grandeur of the Great Hall as music drifts down from the Gallery above followed by a menu inspired by the era: Slow Roast Belly of Pork or ‘Mock Turtle’ Nutty Vegetables En Croute, and a dessert table groaning with sweet delights.

The climax of the evening is the Live Auction. Last year we raised nearly £10,000 at the auction. What will this year bring? We have some fantastic offerings already to tempt you:

  • A stay in a 3 bedroom apartment within a moment’s walk of Central Park
  • A sightseeing flight in a vintage aeroplane
  • A meal for 10 catered in your home
  • Gary Numan concert tickets and signed memorabilia

 ….to name but a few.

Be sure to book you place soon as tickets are strictly limited. Why not get a group together? Tables seat up to 12 people.

Tickets cost £45 available from Reception from Monday 30 January. Adults only. Bar available.

All proceeds to Clockhouse fundraising.

The Clockhouse restoration project

Michael Hall is expanding fast and we urgently need to create additional classroom space. Restoring The Clockhouse is our best solution and will enable us not only to meet a current need, but also to fulfill an ongoing obligation to protect and maintain this wonderful Listed Building at the very heart of our school.
Much good work is going on to bring this inspiring project to fruition, and we are currently in conversation with English Heritage who are interested in potentially funding some of the structural repair works, which form a significant element of the overall costs of the restoration.
Exciting as this is, it is vital that we continue to play our own part through our robust and enthusiastic fundraising.
There are a number of ways to do this:

Sales

We have a number of initiatives running in support of school fundraising at the moment:

Dr Hauschka comes to Michael Hall

Parent Annabel Kapp is generously co-ordinating this new initiative to sell the full range of Dr Hauschka skin care products and cosmetics as a school fundraiser.
If you are a regular user of Dr Hauschka products this is an ideal way to support the school. Just order what you would normally buy through Annabel and the profits go straight to school fundraising. Everyone wins!
Our next order date will be Friday 3 February 2012  and you can download the order form and separate payment form here.
All Dr.Hauschka products carry the BDIH seal of 'Certified Natural Cosmetics' and are made from natural ingredients. The ingredients are produced by either biodynamic or certified organic agriculture wherever possible, or are wild-harvested. Check out www.drhauschka.co.uk for lots more information.

You can contact Annabel on mail@annabelkapp.com or phone 01342 825060
